共聚甲醛项目采用国外先进、稳定的生产工艺，具有清洁、经济的特点。装置中多台套关键设备均为国外引进的先进设备，具有高技术、高安全性能、高稳定性、良好的综合性能和着色性。生产装置年生产能力为8万吨。共聚甲醛（POM）是无支链的高熔点、高密度，高结晶性热塑性工程塑料，具有优异的机械性能、突出的自润滑性，耐磨性和耐化学药品性，抗疲劳性、尺寸稳定性、耐蠕变性好的特点。是工程塑料中最接近金属的品种之一。可用于代替铜，铝，锌等有色金属及合金制品。有“夺钢”，“超钢”之称。
